Working with the Herbwise Ancestors

All of the rich green wisdom that allows us to learn about the plants, connect with them, and work with them in magic and medicine is rooted in our collective ancestors. They are the ones who have handed down their hard-won wisdom to us in the form of plant lore, herbal recipes, plant spirit names, and so much more. By connecting to them, we align ourselves to the timeless past and open a pathway for their blessings to empower the work we’re doing right here, right now.

Ancestral work is an essential part of walking a nature-centered path and living with an animist perspective. Our ancestors of blood, land, and tradition link us to the unknown and open us up to the mysteries that exist there.

In this workshop we’ll explore who the herbwise ancestors are- those wise folk of old who worked with the plants and had a vested interest in the mysteries of the green realm. We’ll look at who they are, how they can bless our work now, and how to go about making good relationships with them in our everyday practice.
