The Oneiric Garden | Dreaming The Green Artes
I’m thrilled to announce the next course offering: The Oneiric Garden. In this 15-lesson course, we’ll be exploring the power of dreams and connecting with plant allies to help deepen, clarify, and empower our dreamtime journeys.
As I do with many of the courses, the ways of dreamwork will be explored not so much topically as they will be through the lenses of several of my favorite herbs. This way, we can learn how to engage more deeply with dreams while also meeting plants that have a profound folkloric connection to the process.
We’ll begin this course by looking at what dreams are- and what they could be… especially as they relate to the realms of otherness and the Faery. I’ll give you an overview of the course and share some herbs and supplies you might want to procure so that you can do all of the suggested rituals along the way.
From there, we’ll get into dreams through herbs by meeting Mugwort, Hops, Valerian, Peppermint, and Rosemary. I know, these may seem like quite gentle herbs when it comes to more visionary workings, but I assure you these plant allies bring the magic!
Next up we’ll be looking at nightmares and discussing ways to quiet or quell them. Nightmares are actually quite important, but there’s no need to suffer through the terror in order to get the catharsis and release they may be working towards. We’ll also chat about protection in the dreamtime and one of my favorite amulet herbs to work with to stay safe and sound wherever I may roam during sleep.
I’ll show you three simple but powerful ways to ritualize your dreaming: tea gazing, dream pillows, and journey wreaths. Each of these brings their own unique magic and can open up our dreams to healing, transformation, and better recall. We will look at ways we can engage ancient oneiric temple practices in our own comfy beds and even look at some Old Gods associated with dreamwork.
Finally, I’ll share several oneiric recipes with you including incense blends, teas, and tinctures- all to help bring vividness and meaning to your dreams.
